- If the current user is not a parent account, SeeNoEvil will request a parent to login for authorization
- All images will remain unblocked for the remainder of the session, or until Resume web filtering is selected from the system tray menu

- Click the Edit button (the button with a pencil image) under the name of the user you wish to change

- The Web Protection Level for the current user might be set too low. To change the Web Protection Level:

- Click the Edit button (the button with a pencil image) under the name of the user you wish to change

I added a site to my Allowed Sites list and SeeNoEvil is still blocking images.
The website you added might be pulling images from another source. When adding a site to your Allowed Sites,
a window will appear showing everywhere that site is pulling resources from. By checking one of the boxes,
SeeNoEvil will highlight which images are coming from that source. BEWARE of allowing images from sources
that host advertisements, as some ads can be pornographic...even if they aren't porn ads
on the page you are viewing at the moment!
What is an Allowed Sites list? What is a Blocked Sites List?
An Allowed Site will always load with images unblocked. A Blocked Site will be blocked completely by SeeNoEvil.
SeeNoEvil maintains a global Allowed list of known safe sites, and a global Blocked list of known porn sites. In addition,
you can customize Allowed and Blocked Sites for each computer user in your family by either:
- using the Allow Site and Block Site buttons on the SeeNoEvil toolbar,
- OR editing Allowed and Blocked Sites from the SeeNoEvil Main Menu:
- Login as a parental user
- Open the SeeNoEvil Main Menu by double-clicking the SeeNoEvil system tray icon on the bottom right of the screen, then logging into the Main Menu
- Click the Edit button (the button with a pencil image) under the name of the user you wish to change
- In the new 'User Options' window, click Sites on the left
- To add an Allowed or Blocked Web Site:
- Type the web site address (for example, somewebsite.com) in the box marked Domain near the bottom of the screen
- Click the Allow or Block button
- To remove an Allowed or Blocked Web Site:
- Click the name of the web site in the list under Allowed or Blocked, so that the name is highlighted
- Click the X button to the right of Allowed or Blocked
Why are users getting more or less time than I have set for them?
If your users are setup for weekly time limits, changes made to time limits will not take effect
until the following Sunday at 12:01 a.m. Maximum time allowed will take precedence over any extra minutes you give
a user. Make sure that the 'Carry over unused time' feature is not enabled, or is enabled with the desired maximum time.
What is the difference between the SeeNoEvil registration name and the parental username?
The SeeNoEvil registration email and password are what was chosen when you purchased SeeNoEvil. This login
is used for online account information and management accessed from the Login Page.
The parental username and password is created during installation and setup of SeeNoEvil. This login is
used only at your computer(s) for access to SeeNoEvil and toolbar functionality.
I've locked myself out of SeeNoEvil and Windows.
If you created a Backup Administrator account during installation, you can use this username to login.
If not, please contact our tech support for assistance.
There's a grey box in the corner when logged in as a child user. How do I get rid of it?
This box shows the available time (hours and minutes) for the user. To disable this box:
- Login as a parental user
- Open the SeeNoEvil Main Menu by double-clicking the SeeNoEvil system tray icon on the bottom right of the screen, then logging into the Main Menu
- Click the Settings button (the SeeNoEvil Settings window opens)
- Click Session Window on the left
- Uncheck the box for Enable Session Time window and click OK
- Close the Main Menu, then log off SeeNoEvil. The Session Window will not be shown the next time anyone logs in.
When I login to an SSL-protected web site (such as my bank account or PayPal) I get an error that reads
"Secure Connection Failed. www.paypal.com uses an invalid security certificate." What's wrong?
This is because you have enabled HTTPS protection. (Under the SeeNoEvil Main Menu, edit a user, Web Protection --
the HTTPS box is checked.) Add the website as an exception. THE INFORMATION YOU SEND THROUGH THIS WEBSITE WILL STILL BE SECURE.
